🏠 KINGDOM DEVOTIONAL DIET @ ZION: SEAL OF PERFECT RELIGION 🏠
"Sanctify Them By Thy Truth: Thy Word Is Truth" (17:17).
"Thou Shall Know The Truth, And The Truth Shall Make YOU Free" (John 8:32).
This is an earnest Call to verify your Religion and to ascertain whether YOU are in the Kingdom TRUTHS that lead to Eternal Life and Glory and your Name written in the Holy BOOK OF LIFE for the blessed assurance of your Eternal Inheritance in the Kingdom of God.
The Holy Scriptures admonish us:
"Make sure of all things and hold fast to what is fine"
(1 Thess. 5: 21).
"Let us search our ways, and turn again to The LORD" (Lament. 3: 40).
To achieve this end in Glory, YOU must be SANCTIFIED and SEALED Unto Eternal Life And Glory by indwelling Spirit of God in your Heart.

Beloved Brethren & Comrades @ Zion: Greetings To YOU All! The LORD has called us to become Children of God in a Spiritual Way and SANCTIFICATION is the significant step required of us.
The purpose of SANCTIFICATION is to UPROOT SIN. So, in our SANCTIFICATION Exercise, we SEEK to overcome SINS that work against our Spiritual Life in our Relationship with our God. The root of the whole problem of man is essentially nothing but the overall trouble of the little word called SIN; and all earnest Kingdom Saints are called to FIGHT and OVERCOME SIN ❤️
ANCIENT MISCONCEPTION OF MORALITY:
The GOALS of SANCTIFICATION as conceived in ancient Religious Practice are NOT the same as the higher GOALS established by our Lord Jesus Christ De Messiah in the MINISTRY OF GRACE.
Henceforth, we shall dwell on some ancient Religious Practices misconstrued as SANCTIFICATION. Examples: Dressing, Washing, Fasting, Sexual Abstinence, Penance, Walking Without Shoes, Abstinence From Drink, Vow Of Poverty, Rubbing Of Ointment, Etc.
In fact, this Devotional Diet seeks to OFFER brief Meditation on ancient Methods to assist us to know where to place emphasis on our efforts towards HOLINESS. It's very important not to overemphasis FORM at the expense of underlying REALITY. The underlying REALITY of SANCTIFICATION is the QUALITY of our Spirit when mapped into Divine Parameters of HOLINESS.
It's important to realize too that ultimately our Papers will be marked in HEAVEN, not on Earth. So, there is no room for self-deception.
Let us, therefore, attempt, henceforth, to assemble the Details of the Techniques of SANCTIFICATION and deliberate on them one by one to enable us capture the essentials and real imports of SANCTIFICATION UNTO HOLINESS OF LIFE. "Be Ye Holy"!
DRESSING
First and foremost, we talk about DRESSING!
Tearing one's DRESS and wearing SACKCLOTH is an outward dramatization of an inner pang. It is, however, possible for it to be performed without an inner correspondence of the pang of REPENTANCE for SIN. That is, it can very easily degenerate to a mere public show without any inner change of any kind or an impact on one's spiritual life.
Even where it is genuinely done, REPENTANCE is NOT the HOLINESS itself, it is only a step towards true HOLINESS. Other steps still have to be taken after REPENTANCE in order to arrive at HOLINESS. Where these subsequent vital steps are NOT taken, we only have an instance of dramatization of pangs of conscience without the transformation of the total personality to HOLINESS.
The same thing applies to wearing a special type of DRESS such as White Linen or Black or Crimson. All these have psychological values to remind or alert consciousness on the ideas of good behaviour and pious conduct. In some devotions, they may have further psych-symbolic connotations according to accepted correspondence of colours with spiritual energies and vibrations. They do not and cannot confer any HOLINESS on anybody. In fact, they can only predispose consciousness towards HOLINESS and this predisposition readily wears off with familiarity.
RELIGIOUS WASHING
Secondly, there is THE RELIGIOUS WASHING!
It's either a physical action or spiritually symbolic usage, for there is no method of WASHING the human SPIRIT with water. SIN, in any case, is not a physical encrustation on the ego that requires the attention of dipping in water to soften and wash away. The "WASHING" metaphor so prevalent in Christianity is only a figure of speech and can only remain a figure of speech. There is no way SIN can be washed away literally in spirit or in matter. As a metaphor, it is useful. As a representation of reality, it is misleading.
It has embarrassed and frustrated many Christians who expected on getting up from their knees not to find SINS in them anymore only to find themselves still burdened with SINS. Many became so frustrated that they started nursing a secret opinion that may be human nature cannot be changed after all. Some hang on the ancient saying: "To err is human, to forgive is Divine", whereas that saying is only of very qualified and very limited validity. As it is constructed, so it is tremendous towards much error.
If YOU have been following our analysis so far, YOU should be able to pinpoint clearly why SIN cannot simply be washed away in the manner we use water to wash away dirt from a surface.
So WASHING of the body in water in a RITUAL BATH or the dip in Baptism cannot wash away SIN. The symbolism of Baptism shall be examined properly in some subsequent Theological Work.
THE FASTING
FASTING as a spiritual exercise has more than symbolic functions. Its symbolic function through the agency of hunger and attenuation of physical strength can be real; but FASTING itself, unfortunately, cannot confer HOLINESS on anybody. As I am NOT a medical practioner, I cannot discuss about any cleansing properties of hunger, if any, but I know that absence of food in the stomach does not imply absence of SIN in the Soul.
FASTING can be an AID to concentration and hence provide a good setting for Meditation, Prayer and other Devotional Exercises. On the other hand, FASTING can be an irritation and a distraction to the inexperienced aspirant. Further, FASTING can be used to weaken the material waves of the body for a time and tune the entire body to vibrate sympathetically with higher spiritual vibrations, etc. On the other hand, FASTING can be a self-imposed punishment in a frantic search for a Religious Experience at all costs when none is forthcoming.
In the sense explained above, FASTING can assist EFFORTS towards HOLINESS but will not by itself confer HOLINESS on anybody. In the same way, FASTING can assist YOU to PRAY well by serving in making YOU spiritually attuned to the keynote of religious piety, but cannot guarantee that your Prayer will be answered. FASTING is your discretion. Answering PRAYER is the discretion of The Most High God.
WALKING WITHOUT SHOES [GOING BAREFOOT]
Depending on how it is done, WALKING BAREFOOT could be symbolic of HUMILITY and be a constant reminder of the low estate of a burdened Sinner or it could be a form of pious ostentation.
Walking on the bare earth per se can invigorate the physical body if beneficial earth currents are radiated in the locality. Standing barefoot in a spiritual ceremony is useful only if certain high spiritual energy is to be received and we don't want the equilibrium of the physical body violently disturbed. Prophet Moses at the moment of his initiation was required to remove his shoes but that did not mean that he had to stand barefoot any time he prayed or walk barefoot all through life.
Without understanding the principles involved, some Religious Groups Walk Barefoot all over the place inconveniencing themselves, risking catching disease and showing off.
Working Without Shoes neither shows that YOU are already SANCTIFIED nor confirms that YOU are really walking towards SANCTIFICATION. More serious interior acts of WILL and CONSCIENCE are required for SANCTIFICATION than merely discarding your shoes.
ABSTINENCE FROM DRINK
There is no gainsaying that this can contribute to efforts towards HOLINESS. It is however when people make a fetish of it that they run into trouble. The trouble is that whereas a drunk or a drunkard is a sinner, a man who drinks some beer or wine or spirit or whatever, is NOT necessarily a sinner. It is a waste of logic to seek to portray a man a sinner simply because YOU see him with a bottle of beer. However, since a drink can be a habit forming, [Note the word I used here: "Can" and not 'Is', I am paying respect to the supremacy of the human spirit. A human being may organize his mind against drink in such a way that it is a casual once-in-a-blue-moon thing and not a constant emotional prop], it is advisable for young aspirants to abstain from drink totally until the re-organization of their desire forces is such that thirst for drink is no longer a significant constituent, until their association with Heaven is so strong that they do not need to hang on any material thing for emotional support.
Whatever the case, some measure of abstinence is necessary for some devotional work.
It is quite easy for an aspirant to fall a victim of the tendency to receding threshold of contentment until the individual threshold of contentment coincides with individual point of drunkenness. Then to get drunk becomes a secret ambition and all previous labour of aspiration is lost in the foul breath of stupor. To hang on drinks for solving emotional problems is easy. But it is also the secret of alcoholism because alcohol is not strong enough to hold anybody's problems. Alcohol cannot even solve its own problem, talkless of solving people's emotional problems. That is saying the least!
